“I believe healing happens in supportive and compassionate relationships, and I’m here to walk alongside you through whatever challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll explore ways to build self-compassion, strengthen your inner resilience, and move toward the life you want. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Expressive Arts Therapy/Somatics, Trauma-Informed approaches, and Mindfulness. My work includes supporting children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, eating concerns/disordered eating, trauma, relationship issues, major life transitions, and LGBTQIA+/identity concerns. It’s an honor to be part of your journey, and I’m committed to showing up with cultural humility, authenticity, and deep care.”
Sophia holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy from Appalachian State University. As a recent graduate (August 2025), she brings fresh, up-to-date knowledge of current research and therapeutic approaches. She has experience supporting clients in both community mental health and college counseling settings. Sophia approaches her work with warmth, curiosity, and cultural humility, and is committed to creating a safe, affirming space for clients to heal and grow.
