My approach to therapy is affirming, relationally focused, and trauma-informed. In other words, I believe that all humans are doing the best we can under difficult circumstances, and that positive change can happen through authentic connection in a safe environment. Depending on your needs and preferences, therapy might involve talking about your experience, creating meaningful art together, or practicing new skills to help with the problems you’re facing. I am trained in the use of a trauma treatment approach called Brainspotting, which can be used with adults and teens or integrated into play therapy with children. Being queer and ADHD myself, I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ and/or neurodivergent individuals, including people who are exploring whether these identities fit for them.
