“I have served individuals and families across the lifespan who have struggled with a variety of hardships such as trauma, depression, anxiety, acculturation issues, relationship challenges, and identity concerns. My therapeutic approach is guided by principles of trauma informed care, compassion, and cultural humility to offer a safe space to show up as you are. I weave in therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help individuals and families identify new ways of navigating life’s challenges with self compassion and empowerment. ”
Jessi holds a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and has 7 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan in various mental health settings.
Fun facts–outside of the therapy room, you might find me working in the garden or spending time with my family and our 5 pets.
